Whale’s Mundo 0.4.3 - A Big Step Forward!

We're incredibly excited to announce that the latest update for Whale’s Mundo is here! After days of development and refining the core mechanics, version 0.4.3 is now live. A huge thank you to everyone who has played, tested, and shared feedback—you’ve helped shape the game in amazing ways!

What’s New

New Card System: Values, Energy, Symbols & Special Effects

We've transitioned from tiles to a more traditional card-based system, where each card now has a defined value for scoring:

• NEW - 4 Symbols with Special Effects: Each symbol now comes with a unique effect, adding depth and strategy to the game. Experiment with them to maximize your potential!
  • Blue Energy: Increases your Energy counter [blue]
  • Red Pickaxe: Increases your Burn counter [red]
  • Blue Crown: Increases your Shadow Units counter [yellow]
  • Red Flame: Grants a turn-based bonus to your Scoring counter [orange]
• NEW - Energy Costs: A fresh energy system introduces costs for playing cards, making strategic decision-making more crucial.
• NEW - Shadow Units: We introduce a new in-game currency used to purchase special items later.

Gameplay Improvements

• Reworked Combinations: The combination system has been completely reworked to be more intuitive and easy to remember. Players can now create combinations such as "Uno," "Duo," "Trio," and "Combo." - Maybe we will add one more?

Two Blockchain-Inspired Mechanics

• Staking [Blue Stack]: Players can now store a card, allowing it to accumulate energy each turn—perfect for long-term strategic plays.
• Burning [Red Stack]: A powerful feature enabling players to permanently remove a card from play. The energy from the burned card is redistributed to all visible cards of the same symbol, adding an extra layer of strategic depth.

UI & UX Improvements

• Redesigned Board Layout: The play area has been adjusted for better visibility and clarity, and custom game fonts have been integrated into the build.
• Improved Card Draw System: Drawing cards now feels smoother and more responsive, making each turn more engaging.
• New Animation Effects: Playing cards and triggering effects now have more dynamic visual cues.

Additional Tweaks & Fixes

• New Effects: More satisfying cues when playing cards and scoring combos.
• Bug Fixes: Various minor issues have been resolved to provide a smoother gameplay experience.
